About AFTER5MEDIA.COM – The concept: AfterFive began with an idea, a challenge to create an entity in which members would immerse themselves in all aspects of San Francisco entertainment culture in order to document how the people of San Francisco celebrate life and express themselves through these festivities. The result: AFTER5Media.com, an online magazine of photo-essays documenting these scenes in a way that everyone can experience and understand them. Beauty, culture, fashion and politics is communicated through open-mindedness, acceptance and understanding. It is in celebration when we show our most beautiful colours. Our work is done through capturing those moments, as they are fleeting and constantly evolving, never to be experienced again. The goal: To become not only a local, but international entity for communicating a global understanding of world entertainment, lifestyle, fashion and culture. Global acculturation not globalization. We wish to counterbalance the effects of globalization. Homogeny is not our goal; ubiquity is not our mission. We exist to document and affect.
